What a month!

Well, it has been a long time since I have posted anything. Too long. The thing that drives me crazy about blogs I follow are when they are not updated regularly. For this I am sorry. We have been incredibly busy here in the Pearl this last month. We have been getting ready for school, having a whole slew of visitors, cheer camps, football practice and a ton of other things that have kept me away from Life in the Pearl. I have also been very busy at work this last month which has been really stressful but I guess is better than the alternative. I have a huge mess of pics that I will slowly add to the site to catch all up in our crazy lives. The Mrs. keeps clothes of all sizes to pass down to each child and we have been very blessed to get a lot of hand-me-downs from our friends at church. Our kids still don't mind the hand-me-down so we make sure to pass on to others so that we can continue to get those blessings. We know that the day will come when they will baulk but not yet. Bub is trying on a pair of sweats that the Mrs. and I thought were so cute on him some years ago but he has since outgrown. He was a good sport about it and modeled for us so we could re-live his younger days. The Mrs. and the kids spent 2 or 3 days making sure everyone had all they needed for a new year at school.
The night before the 1st day of school the girls spent about 19 hours primping and preparing for the big day. Bub spent about 2 minutes. Above is a pic of my babies after their showers. Being Sisters 1st day of kindergarten Sissy needed to be there for extra help.

Here is the Mrs and sister escorting sissy to 3rd grade. Look at Sisters face. I think she was a bit nervous at this point. We had already dropped off Bub and she was getting closer. Sissy thinks she's so cool in the hat!

Here are the three whipper-snappers all spit and polished for the 1st day.My girls are beautiful! Bub's alright too I suppose.
Still smiling but quickly tiring of the ump-teenth picture.

Bub throwing (literally) his stuff in his locker. He is in the Intermediate school now. He's Big-Time!

Sissy at her locker. 4Th year at this school it's all old-hat for her.

Here is our baby at her desk. We walked in and she sat down and she was done with us. Totally ignored us. When she would look at us it was as if to say, "OK, go away now". Man, you would think she would be a little sad.
She did give the Mrs. one of her famous face holding kisses before she threw us out of her class. I think she missed us a little bit. The Mrs. and me left school that day with a few tears...then we went home and had a cup of coffee. In peace and quiet!
