From time to time the Mrs. and I try to get away for some alone time without the whipper-snappers. We recently took a quick trip to San Antonio.
We got a great deal on a hotel room right on the river walk. We were on the 9Th floor and we had a balcony with a great view of the city and the river walk.
Sunday morning we got up and had coffee together on the balcony enjoying the views and the bells of the local churches.

Harvest time!
Great Time of year! We get home-grown tomato's! I love home-grown tomato's!
I can't tell you how clan Daniel longs for fresh tomato's each year. There is nothing like them.
These are supposed to be jalapeno peppers but the plants were marked wrong.
We are still getting plenty of jalapenos though. This made 8 - 1/2 pints.

End of school
As the end of school approaches clan Daniel spends countless days at the "Pearl" ISD campuses as awards a-plenty are bestowed on the whipper-snappers.
Sissy at her graduation "commencement".
Here she tells the world that when she grows up she wants to be...a...(wait for it)...Cheerleader! Let's see what next week brings.
Sissy and her kindergarten teacher. She was also Sisters kindergarten teacher (and goes to Sunday School with the Mrs. and me).
Memorial Day 2010
Every Memorial Day clan Daniel goes on a 5 day camp out with lots of other fellow campers from our church. This year FBC "the Pearl" had 16 campsites reserved and we all had a great time.
One of our fellow campers/church members works for the government and had boxes of MRE's. This fascinated the whipper-snappers to no end. All of the kids kept going to their campsite to beg for one more. Bub thought this form of eating quite enjoyable. It even had it's own cooker!
The multitude of whipper-snappers break down by age and find many things to do thru-out each day.
On Sunday morning we all gather for a church service. We had 73 people this year. Our pastor says we can't count toward the church roll because we don't pass the plate. You know how us Baptists are.
